Paul LaPage elected Republican Governor of Maine.
The first time since 1962 (we think) the Republicans hold the governorship and both houses of the state legislature. No Republican incumbent for the state house lost! Sixteen Demorat incumbents lost. The Republicans also won six open seats. Net gain +22. Maine is moving to RED!
Paul LaPage wins by 7500 votes. Governor elect LaPage earned 38% of the vote; Democrat turned “Independent” Cutler with 37% of the vote; Moonbat^2 Demorat Mitchell
earned 19% of the vote and conceeded last night.
WAY TO GO MAINE!!
I think I have to go “up home” for a visit!
The way life should be
LaPage’s life story is amazing, rivaling Boehner’s: homeless at 11, he put himself through high school and college and went on to embody the American dream. Rock solid. Good choice, Maine! Congratulations!
thanks for the update and keeping us in the loop!
Fantastic news for the people of Maine. I just hope the GOP has a take no prisoner attitude once they are the helm.
The moonbat comments at the BDN are hilarious; I'm going into hyper-Schadenfreude.
Good job Maine!
Stunning!
I will always keep Freepers in the loop about Maine politics.
Jim, thanks for all you have done.
