Kayaks are way too big for ‘gators to see them as food.

Lizabeth is now being treated for alligator bits and lung injuries from being underwater. All I can say is WOW! She gets attacked by an alligator and comes away with bits of the alligator! Good job, Lizzie!

Gator tasted like chicken to me. Not 'fishy' at all. It was pretty good, IMHO. Have you tried the white meat?

I stopped Kayaking in Florida when a 12 footer surfaced right in front of me and my kayak went right over his back pushing him back under water.
Just the thought of him doing one of those flips they are noted for and I would have been in the water with him. The thought still gives me shivers...
Now I live in Kentucky and no gators to be seen anywhere. I just LOVE it here.

I’m usually out with 2-3 others..that creates a fairly large disturbance in the water, and most gators will shy away..

Hillsborough river is full of gators..I kayak there often, and theyre all over the place..Silly to walk a small dog, or a small child... close to the river... I think kayaking there is pretty darn sil - oh nevermind.
I much agree.

We occasionally see a gator on Lake Corpus Christi. Hear a lot of random gunfire. I suspect they get shot. Of course, I would never kill a gator out of season (snicker). They’re quite tasty on the barbeque. Friend saw a 12 footer in the river just above the lake. And they do taste like chicken (or rattlesnake).

They taste like chicken with a hint of swamp. They eat pretty much everything on land or in the water.

That dog needs some Gatorade to get over its fright.

It’s more like chicken - personally, I found it to be delicious lightly fried.
