Hi everyone. Hope your weekend was a good one, and the week ahead to. Everyone should get their rest....catch their breath for the next battle on the horizon.
I had a little health scare last evening. Barb and I had gone down to Sam's Club and then were on the way over to Costco when I had a brief feeling of being lightheaded, tightness in the chest and then heartburn.
I let Barb go into Costco and then we went to the ER. They wired me up and drew blood, but the doc said my symptoms were most likely acid reflux. They released me. I am fine now, but I am going to get an appointment to see my regular doc this week. I need a referral to an orthopod anyway for my left shoulder.
Two walls are insulated and paneled now. Barb stained and finished both of them. I have the third wall about half insulated. I have one 220 outlet to wire and then I can insulate and start the paneling. It is looking good.

Another battle? The last one was too “draining” - we threw everything at them including the Jemian sink.
I suppose the next battle will be the drifting back to another relapse on liberalism. Bailing out CA(& IL and NY )??? Sneaking in cap & tax through the back door?

Finally have a day with no “have to” obligations on the list....WOnder what’s in store...Lots of things that need to or could be done....

Good Morning. Yesterday’s ‘free time’ was cut short by a call from my youngest son, who needed a driver to get him to ER. I had taken him to the local ER early Saturday morning. He has poison ivy and on Sat. one eye was swollen shut,,, and his entire face was contorted with swelling. They gave him a Cortezone shot and a series of Prednzone pills. Sunday, he was worse,, so I took him to the ER in Iowa City. They increased the Prednizone and gave him an Allegra Rx,, hopefully, he will get some relief.
I got the flower garden across the front of the house all cut back before he called,, but the rest of the week is busy, so it may be all that I get done before the snow flies.
Oh my goodness. Poison ivy can be very bad when it becomes systemic. I’ll pray for him. I’m sorry you weren’t able to get more done outside but I’m glad that you were able to minister to him.

Toby, I thought of you just now as I pushed the “off” button for my TV. Fox was carrying Caligula’s oration. Some things are just not fitting for early in the AM and on a Monday, too!
It is too bad that the first visit did not take care of the problem. Murphy’s law that when you have so many things to do, more will show up! Take care!

Read between his lines.....they're stacking the deck against Michelle Bachmann getting the #4 position she (I believe) has earned....
I believe they will try to shut her out, even though Wallace said to Cantor 'don't you think the Tea Party is entitled to a representative in Congress'...ie Bachmann.
The Tea Party folks.....that's all of us who had any part in this election!.....worked long and hard to send representatives to DC and we're not willing to take a back seat & cede those hard fought votes back to the status quo Republicans!
There are some wonderfully good Republicans, but there are also those who want to co-opt the terms of the Tea Partiers....and proceed business as usual.
