What I find interesting in reading all of these posts is that: 1. We do not know what it is for sure, but it sure looks like a missile; The people responsible for monitoring this kind of stuff was silent for a long time (days), and 3. the number of people here at FR who do not have any more information than anyone else but can’t wait to accept the first explanation, regardless of how ludicrous it sounds, provided by a gov’t that nobody trusts and want to excoriate anybody who disagrees with that story.
The truth is that we do not know and probably never will know for certain. and we have some real *ssholes here at FR.
So just because we came to the same conclusion as the Gov’t it means we are willing to accept whatever they tell us?
Aren’t we allowed to objectively look at this and decide we agree with them in this case?
I know everyone wants to believe this is some great conspiracy, but really we are just wasting a lot of time on an optical illusion. Although it sure has been an education for me on the kinds of things people are willing to believe, despite a lot of rational evidence to the contrary.
Some really, REALLY ginormous sphincter types.

Well, I actually agree with that in the vein that we don’t know “for certain” if we landed on the moon. ;)
Thing is, in your numbered points you are ignoring a lot of things we actually do know. And every one of them points to “airplane contrail”.
