Plug the camera into the USB port and the Mac will recognize the external device. You can then download your photos into a folder and process them however you like. Your Nikon should have basic software that is Mac compatible, there is a basic suite that comes with the computer, there’s Photoshop, all manner of image editing software.
It’s certainly easier than on a PC.
