The longtime publicist, who worked on such films as "Driving Miss Daisy"
Number 1 suspects have to be Nancy Pelosi and her chauffeur Jim Clyburn.

Before one can write a coherent sentence, one needs to know how to
think coherently. The sentence, as written, could mean either a) the perp crashed and died, after shooting the victim, or b) the victim was shot, then she crashed her car and died, but there was no logical connection. In other words, the victim was about to crash anyway, and the shooting had nothing to do with it.
If the writer had bothered to rework the sentence, he would have said "Police are searching for the suspect who shot a well-known Hollywood publicist five times, causing her to crash her Mercedes-Benz in a Beverly Hills neighborhood." Since the writer doesn't state whether she died at the scene, or whether she died from the bullet wounds or the crash, I can't complete that part of it.

I read the story on another site. Someone apparently shot her through her closed passenger window. She was hit, kept driving, crashed and died.
Could have been an attempted car jacking or a hit or random crime.

Not anymore. Chasen’s closed in ‘95. Many of the great old-time hangouts are now gone.

How about:
“No, if you read the sentence it says the suspect shot the victim 5 times and then the suspect crashed her car and died.
Journalism is a dying occupation...

I have not been there since 1990-91....Pauley Shore drinking at the Seventh Veil...with that porn girl Savannah (suicide) in tow...life imitating art one night
and me at the Marmount...regular room but with Strip view
all seems rather silly now...I was 31-32
I am now a country boy..sort of...funny though I was living between Caracas, Baranquilla and Miami then....Los Angeles seemed rather..er..safe..if you can imagine that

Los Angeles..what a town...I traveled there on business but having lived in Manhattan in the 80s I learned NYC was more suited for me then
no way now...I like rural Dixie
I bet most folks get middle aged with kids and grandkids and they prefer a bucolic rural environment...especially as an ever maturing righty
