I honestly don’t see how one can claim to be a true conservative, and not be soundly pro-life.

By never claiming to be either, they talk about being "good" Republicans.

Let us not forget current “good” Republicans like Brown, Snowe, and Collins ;-)

I have always been a Republican because Christian conservatism is found in the Republican party, and nowhere else. Unfortunately, many Republicans belong strictly for the advocacy of lower taxes, or some similar issue.
