Ok, well, maybe historical shrinkage is pretty drastic, but just in the last few months, the length of the rolls (measured from end to end of the cardboard tube) has shrunk by about half an inch. Plus, fewer sheets are being put on each roll. I looked for a picture to link, but couldn't find one. I had found a whole website (with pics) dedicated to the recent shrinkage of various products, but don't remember what it's called.

I wonder if Sheryl Crow is still able to get away with using a single sheet? I can't say I have any sympathy for her. The annoying nature of her singing was second only to that of Alanis Morrisett--who would never have gained any kind of fame in a rational world.
