Death penalty for Auburn? No. Not gonna happen. Auburn football is a big time money maker. Too many people in high places would lose a lot of money if the program went under.
(Remember that neither Alabama, nor Oklahoma, nor Texas, nor USC received the death penalty for their rules violations. Why? They were big-time. SMU was relatively small time and thus expendable.)
But will Auburn face sanctions, a postseason ban, and lost scholarships? Yeah, certainly.
