SIERRA BLANCA, Texas A U.S. Border Patrol spokesman says country singer Willie Nelson was charged with marijuana possession after 6 ounces was found aboard his tour bus in Texas.
Patrol spokesman Bill Brooks says the bus pulled into the Sierra Blanca, Texas, checkpoint about 9 a.m. Friday. Brooks says an officer smelled pot when a door was opened and a search turned up marijuana.
Brooks says the Hudspeth County sheriff was contacted and Nelson was among three people arrested.
Sheriff Arvin West didn't immediately return a phone message left at his home Friday, but he told the El Paso Times that Nelson claimed the marijuana was his. The singer was held briefly a $2,500 bond before being released

Willie is such a loser and tax cheat. Sort of wish the guy would just disappear.
Pitbull bites baby.
I thought he died in 1990.
Willy?
No way.
Or, as it's also known, Friday.
Why do you think they call it DOPE???
He should team up with Lindsay Lohan and call the Tour
“Stuck on Stupid”
"Look! There goes Willie's bus! Let's have some fun and bust him for having pot!"
Wht is this breaking news? Willie gets busted all the time! LOL!!!
I’ve seen that bus. Been ten feet from it a time or two. I sorta doubt it has ever NOT smelled like weed. In fact, I doubt it will ever not smell like weed again, ever. Shoot, when they melt it down to make something else out of it, THAT will probably smell like weed...
Well, he has been brain dead for years. He’s a Truther.
Vicious rumours about a premier artist, like they had about Elvis and Rock Hudson!
After all this time, all knowing he smokes weed he gets arrested now? Thats funny
Sierra Blanca was a bad speed trap in the 70’s - 80’s. If you had out of state tags you had to see the JP and pay your fine before you left. Ol’ Willie still playin’ outlaw.....
Shocked! SHOCKED!!!
This is what happens on holidays in Southern Cali
(CNN) — The discovery of a “sophisticated” tunnel between a Mexican eat-in kitchen and two Southern California warehouses led authorities on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border to arrest at least nine suspects and seize between 20 and 30 tons of marijuana.
The Thanksgiving Day find followed an eight-month investigation and came about three weeks after authorities discovered a similar drug tunnel in another warehouse in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego.
Wow... glad to see that we are being protected by dangerous, evil criminals like... Willie Nelson. I feel so much safer now knowing that Willie Nelson is being punished for owning a plant.
Was he coming from a Bingo game at the senior center?
I doubt it.
Good luck to him I say, since he is my age.
Keep on truckin’,Willie
Nope, just looks like he did :-)
