The Big Ten will be divided next year, 6 teams in each half. Yes, that adds up to 12. Oh, and I heard the Big 12 will now have 10 teams. Go figure.
Our arch-rival, Minnesota (oldest rivalry in Div. 1 history) will be in the "other" half of the conference, but the powers that be have assured both teams that they will continue to play each other every year for the privilege of bringing home Paul Bunyan's Axe (which BTW has resided in Madison for many years now.:-)
