It’s almost criminal that Hardee’s only has cheesy bacon fries on the menu occasionally
I used to like the Hot-n-Now olive burgers but I don’t think Hot-n-Now even exists anymore.
The McRib is colored, shaped and flavored pork fat. Yuck!
I bow to your abilities...you are genius!
Boy, that *does* sound good! You can never, ever go wrong with bacon. :-)
Yeah, I ate one...once
It’s a manufactured cult status thing...see, if they really were that popular, why take it off the menu in the first place? By yanking peoples chains like this, they hope to drive demand. We have a local yogurt place that does this with one of their flavors, even to the point of advertising the fact that customers love it so much and want it to stay...but they’ve yanked it 3 times in like 6 months.
Limited-Edition Foods :
McD’s eggnog shake......just a weakness this time of year
I recall being surprised that they were good. My tastes cant have changed that much. The quality has clearly gone down.
I remember the first one I went to around that same time period; early 1960s. Hamburgers were 10¢ and cheeseburgers 15¢. As I recall that was all that was available then; just the one patty regular hamburgers and fries. We used to buy 'em by the bag, 10 burgers for a $1.00.
And you are right, they were much better tasting back then, kind of like the burgers you now find at an out of the way old fashioned hamburger stand.
The McRib is one of the sickest pieces of wormsh1t ever to be pressed into the shape of a meat-like structure. This from a guy who in high school worked at McD’s for awhile.
From a marketing strategy, it’s great. How they got so many people to voluntarily shove them down their throats and come back for more, pure freaking genius.
I am off ammonia-nized fast food meats forever. Make my own now.
I have picked that up. If you go to mexican grocery stores you can get coke made with sugar, too.
PAssover coke costs a lot more though, be aware.
That’s because in 1960 they were not using ammonia-nized frozen meat patties. Many burger joints still used ground beef and they were like real burgers you could make at home. They had flavor, they did not have the life processed out of them, then have chemicals added back in to try to make them taste like a burger is supposed to taste.
Okay, this is regional, but
Elegant Farmer Apple Pie, baked in a paper bag.
Voted "Best Pie in America," Wall Street Journal, 2005.
They have real sugar Sierra Mist — I think there still might be some real sugar Pepsi and Mountain Dew available too.
It’s no more expensive than regular Sierra Mist/Pepsi/Mountain Dew.

Their snack wraps are delicious.
Arby’s Chocolate Croissant.
Oh my, those are heavenly.
Costco sells Mexican coke. Sugar, not corn syrup.
Thumbs up on Shamrock shakes, mint Girl Scout Cookies and Starbucks, um, pumpkin scones, rather than the lattes. The scones are seasonal, and my kids and I love them as a rare treat.
You can get cane sugar Coca Cola at Mexican markets. Way different taste, so much better.
