The XM2010 is distinguished by its advanced design and represents a quantum upgrade over the M24. The shooter interface can be tailored to accommodate a wide range of shooter preferences and its folding stock provides Soldier flexibility in transporting the weapon during operations. The weapon also incorporates advanced corrosion resistant coatings to ensure longevity. The aluminum, steel, and high impact polymers used in the weapon’s construction are lightweight and rugged.
The ESR is equipped with a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50mm scope. The variable power scope includes a first focal plane reticle so when the user dials in, the reticle pattern scales with the zoom enabling the sniper to estimate range at any power setting. The scope also employs a reticle pattern that facilitates faster and more accurate range estimation and utilizes mil turret adjustments to eliminate MOA to mil conversion. The targeting stadia reticle allows for simultaneous elevation and windage holds that eliminate the need to dial in adjustments.

Can I get those in programmable exploding rounds that will explode .... say a couple of feet into a room, decimating all living breathing things within 25 feet?
Some of those would be nice to display. Just to boast that you have a few of them and the weapon to use them too!

Those run around $5k. I want either one of those or the M107, which does run about $10k. It’ll be a while.
One of these days I might upgrade the scope on my SA M1A, it has a customized GI fibergalls stock that I epoxied some carbon fiber into the forend and attached a high lace-up chek pad to it. It has an older Leupold 3.5x10x50 Tactical scope on it. The stock is so-so, still too low for a good eye relief.
There is some decent new technology in as such as built in laser range finders on I think a consumer level Bushnell and of course plenty of illuminated reticles and night vision sights, even the Level 3 or higher are coming down in prices.
Surely someone could design a good bipod sans the external springs ?
Not only are they an aesthetic eyesore, but a pair of class A crud catchers as well.
It’s the Army. I belive all personnel in the field are required to pick up a certain amount of crud from every location they stop at and carry it back to the base with them.

I put an ACOG 5.5x50 in .308 on my NM M1A. Next step is a JAE 100 Gen 2 stock with all the bells and whistles. After that I think I will put the ACOG back on my AR10 and go with a Leupold Mark IV for the Springfield.
Is the .750 your new wildcat. Good for varmints in the burrow I bet.
I would certainly think so. With the proper ammo it might be sufficient to dig burrows suitable for bears.

The two recent sniper episodes on History Channel covering Vietnam
and Afghanistan/Iraq are something to watch.
