That's because Ian Eagle, the idiot CBS play by play guy was blowing it out of proportion on the air. He bent his knee slightly and the Fin was WAY out of bounds. I don't care if the guy apologized. Jets management ordered him to do so, to try and minimize any potential PR damage.
Translation: I don't like the Dolphins, so I'm going to concoct a version of events that fits my bias and argue that version to the death.
