The same thing happen to the William Rockefeller family over donating Jekyll Island ( home of the Federal Reserve). The IRS agreed on the value of the island, then changed their mind. The IRS took them to court and lost, why because their lawyer went to court and the IRS had 10 lawyers against him and told the jury what if this were you and the IRS went after you with 10 lawyers paid for by taxpayers.
