Eastern Pa. warned of approaching winter storm

Residents in eastern Pennsylvania are being warned to prepare for a snowstorm that brought a white Christmas to parts of the Midwest and the South and is expected to bear down on the area.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for eastern parts of the state on Saturday, upgrading the storm watch issued earlier in the day.

The weather service is now forecasting 8 to 12 inches of snow for Philadelphia and its suburbs during the warning period, which begins at 7 a.m. Sunday

Our local weather in south jersey is calling for wind gusts of up to 40mph with heavy snow that qualifies as a blizzard.

Best Christmas I’ve had recently was snowmobiling with a buddy around Harrietta a few years back. Musta got 12-15 inches over about 15 hours.

Bastards prognosticate a week in advance and cant get 24 hours out with any reliability. I am disabled. I sit at home and watch FNC and all my WX channels. This was supposed to stay well off shore and be little more than a nuisance. Now they are calling for for 6 inches plus. WTF! These idiots that show a 7 day forecast are all just full of ship. Bull!
