Mitch Jayne also died this year on August 2nd.

Most will remember him from the Andy Griffith show as one of the Dillards.

For those in East Tennessee Patrica Neal died this past year. Yes she was a liberal who supported most liberal causes but also a needed local hero to her hometown. Her local legacy is a spinal cord, head trauma, and stroke rehabilitation center in Knoxville named after her. The center has helped thousands regain their independence. She would dress up or rather down into incognito disguises and make unannounced visits there to check on things.
