Timex vs. the US....LOL!

Quix, ditto your post...

I hope things have quieted down on the weather front, but who knows...maybe we shouldn't fret as that'll be an excuse for a Weather Czar....

Good morning and Happy New Year!

Daughter has moved back home for a while; rocky patch in the marriage which I hope will be resolved according to God’s plan.

I now have TWO dogs here, since daughter brought hers. A chihuahua/ Boston terrier mix and an English shepherd (my dog) are not compatible personality types. Maggie keeps trying to herd Pibby, which causes snarls and snapping. They are settling down a bit, but I might have to contact my local dog whisperer if we don’t get some peaceful co-existence soon.

Husband is still in Ghana, and his mine is making money, so he is in good humor. He has tried to offer assistance to the local village school, because so many of the people are so poor. (And may I add, do not act like they are entitled to things and work hard and are very Christian.) He will be traveling to Manila through Dubai this month. I am staying put until he heads for Europe or perhaps South America on his many travels.

I will keep all of you in my prayers as we enter this new year, which I hope begins the end of the Obama regime and a new appreciation for this country and its Constitution by the people who live within her borders.

God bless you all!

Oh Jane, the same to you. You are a model of fortitude and wise adjustment in the times we find ourselves in. Thanks for the status report.

All is well here, just getting older and more forgetful...still trying to work on the patience thing...some days it's easier than others, natch...

Morning MP, sun out here is so. Mississippi, a tad nip in the air, oatmeal for b’fast.

Allie has her driving permit which means I went on a few trips with her when Tracy had her run errands, this driving thing is going to be a big help to Tracy. She wants to drive me into town tomorrow which I am glad she did, just hate to see my little GD grow up so fast and yes, the phone rings off the wall for her and the marathons have started on the phone. Told D yesterday we are going to have to get a intercom system because she is on the phone so much.

Got caught up watching the left behind series, been a long time, such a great showing.

OK, time for me to start my thing to get ready for church, the kids have found a young preacher they really like and me, the same old, like my church services are more my kind, differend strokes for different folks I always say.

Off to start my getting ready, a sunny day here , no clouds, slight breeze and yes, short sleeve weather still cloudy but that changes quick here.

All have a blessed day, one with lots of love.
Tobu

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

Guennie, May God keep you and family, especially Dad in his breast pocket during this time.

What a wonderful end of the year we’ve had. Christmas with family, most of them. Visisted sister and family in Phoenix. Rode home blissfully happy.

Many years ago, my priest told me to pray for patience. I did. When he asked if I’d taken his advice I assured him I had. He asked how it was going, I told him it wasn’t working, so I quit asking. I use it only for sewing and painting.

I grew up in King of Prussia and never heard of these events. But I wanted to ask if the bologna was a Lebanon Bologna...

.. my favorite sandwich growing up.

OMG that is the BEST.

I remember as a very young girl my parents took us to a trip to PA and we went to some fair and we got this huge hero sammich with LB and ‘maters and shredded lettuce and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Never again to have a sandwich that tasted that good.

Maybe it was just a dream.

That sammich and Philly Cheesesteak sammiches someone introduced me to.

Sheesh, so hungry for something different but won’t get there laying in bed all day.

I nominate Harry Reid for his colonoscopy dissertation and professing to be 'mystified' why any Hispanic would vote GOP...

Joe Sestack for his 'responding to Pat Toomey's campaign ads are like scooping up after my dog' ad...

Charlie Crist for his entire campaign...

Nancy Pelosi for (tie) 'we have to pass the bill so you can see what's in it'/'unemployment insurance payments provide to most stimulative effect on our economy'/Opting to not pass a budget in 2010, which prevented them from passing a whole bunch of stuff in the lame duck session (no budget = no amendments or riders that would have been used)...;-))

In my humble estimation, Pudge's in Whitpain Township on 202 near Rt. 73 makes the best Philly Cheesesteaks I have ever had.

Also, there is a little bar in Chestnut Hill on Germantown Ave. that makes a cheesesteak on a Kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing that is killer called 'the Schmidtter' after Phillies 3rd baseman Mike Schmidt...but I never heard of the Lebanon Baloney drop on New Year's...;-))
