Ridiculous! The whole point of the study was to show that American children are getting fat at an earlier and earlier age! We know that overweight children grow up to be overweight adults, with all the health complications that follow. It is sad to think that mothers are deceived into feeding their children, not only formula, which is bad enough, but a formula that increases their likelyhood of obesity.

The whole point of the study was to show that American children are getting fat at an earlier and earlier age! And therefore to justify earlier and more comprehensive interventions by the government. You don't think this is about providing useful information to parents, do you?

You buy the bilge that we’re a nation of pigs. I don’t. Kids are chubby until about 2. It’s called BABY FAT. Children need less TV, less Wii, less computer games, less X-Box and more time PLAYING.
