I sense a bit of envy in you brother......Let a great spokesman for the Military Creed stand tall. In my opinion, he is surely honest and the first to admit he was awarded another stripe after his TOD. The title is valid because it was a Marine Commander who promoted him.
Never forget, Marines are Marines for life. Their TOD does not end when they ETS or retire. It was his wounds that forced his early retirement and he deserves better from you.
