Well you can give this any flavor you may like...but to sum up your rational...it’s not far from New Age thinkers....whose roots are in Hinduism.

” Centering” is definately New Age by the way...and unfortunately it’s also moved within the Psycology field...and several other Eastern Religions.

God calls us to “fix” our mind, heart and soul ‘on Him’. So when the need has been to seek Him... He does all that is needed within me...and others...who do that.

If one digs deep one will find the roots are Sufism - Islam.

So are you saying Hinduism has it’s roots in Sufism-Islam?
If so how so?

My understanding is that Sufism- ISlam used Jewish, Christian, Gnostic, Hellenistic, Zoroastrian and Hindu traditions that were brought into Islam by converts from the many conquered populations.

You want my opinion? It’s that part of us that lives before we are conceived and that continues to live on after our body dies.

Are you talking about reincarnation? If not, then you can ignore what's below... The only coherent account of the act of human understanding that I've read is the Aristotelian one. The soul is the form of the body. An Aristotelian form is that which makes a thing what it is. It is essentially non-material. In the act of understanding, the form of the thing known becomes one with the knower. There is no "gap" between the thing known and the knower. Therefore, it is logically possible for me to know with certainty that when I apprehend a tree, I am really apprehending a tree.

If this account of the human act of understanding is true, then the form is the essential aspect of each and every thing, and the transmigration of forms (souls) would be impossible. It would be logically possible for the soul (form) to be separated from the body ("unnaturally," as in death), but not to be re-attached to some other body.

Unstable mind meets lots of drugs and lots of bad information. Hilarity does not ensue.

Are you talking about reincarnation?

Uh...no, not in the least. I don't know how life works.

Maybe time for you to learn.

He thought the grass was BLUE. That sounds like he was tripping on more than pot. Someone mentioned he was in to Salvia, a psychoactive plant which can induce dissociative effects and is a potent producer of “visions” and other hallucinatory experiences.

Heh.

My first reply was to you. What do you mean “spirit”?

The second reply was mostly to St_Thomas_Aquinas, (who I am pinging again because I mentioned him/her in this post), however I did want you to realize that I don’t presume to know the mind of God.

I think the biggest issue with lucid dreaming and the psychotic break comes in the first few hours after leaving the dream state. I’m working on my masters in Psychology I’m highly intelligent and typically very psychologically sound. However, I just had a very lucid dream, which over the years I’ve learned to relax and enjoy and look for cues to continue the dream, but thats just the issue. When you awaken you feel certain at first that you are home, and then you look for cues. Its disturbing when your mind has been working overtime even for a very small window of time to find cues that change your scenery and location only to come out of that search mode to a stable environment. Facinating stuff and if you have the mental fortitude I suggest you practice it and explore, but be forewarned it is not for the faint of heart, and by that I don’t mean the macho do well, the truely mentally strong and capable can explore safely, but very very cautiously.
