LOL NO!! It's the difference in wage (she was a stay at home mom). Me low six figures, her about 13k. So she is "entitled" to maintain her living standard. grrrrr. Both child support and alimony need reduced. Here I make what is considered a damn good wage and more after taxes and all the support I get about 1/4 of it. Oh boo whoo. But I know God has a plan and I must put my faith in him.
Sorry Dr. Laura et al, but this is a very GOOD reason NEVER to allow your wife to be ‘stay at home.’
I never had that luxury with my two kids; a lot of modern moms EXPECT it nowadays. Daycare is outrageous but the millions, yes MILLIONS over the years you’ll be paying after the divorce is so much more.
Talked to a twenty something liberal co-worker who is allowing his wife to be SAH with their two children... He ACTUALLY THOUGHT that if they broke up HE’D get the children since he’s the breadwinner!!! I “re-educated” him. You should have seen the LOOK on his face!!
Hubby’s ex-shrew was a stay in bed mom; about three years after the breakup she realized she could no longer live off of him (he was paying her his ENTIRE salary out of self imposed (and wrongly placed) guilt. Then her friend got her a “job” at Child Protective.
