No, there is only one definition of "citizen". There are just different ways to become one. By specifying a "natural born citizen" the founders were simply requiring that the President had to gain his citizenship by birth. Not acquire it later by naturalization. He couldn't be an immigrant.

No they are not just birther fables. They are Supreme Court cases which I have personally read and are generally accepted by Constitutional experts to purport that a natural born citizen is born in the USA of 2 citzen parents.
