These violent “no knock” warrents make a mockery of search and seizure protections.

You know, I have heard the police defend No Knock because suspects would flush drugs. Right?

Simple solution: Have the city turn off water to the house, or the entire street even. They could flush exactly one easily-retrievable load.

No Knock is unnecessary.

How about instead of turning off the water we end the practice of career prosecutors who’s careers live and die and arrest and conviction rates.

I am more concerned in today’s world with restoring the balance of power between the State and the People than I am in putting people in Jail.

I knew an old school cop who said that he could defuse 90% of bad situations by a bit of patience and politeness.

He made 30 years without having to shoot or compromise his duty.
