A large winter storm forecast to unfold could adversely affect more than 100 million people this week from the Rockies to the Plains, South, Midwest and Northeast, if it develops to its full potential.

The latest indications continue to point toward a large storm forming amidst a building temperature contrast over the middle of the nation. Precipitation and strong cold air/warm air circulation around that storm will affect many millions of people from the interior West to the Atlantic Coast as next week progresses.

We are calling this system the Groundhog Day storm, and it will likely severely impact ground travel, and lead to canceled flights, school delays and closures. The storm is not only a concern for Wednesday, but for much of the week as the system moves along.

I had planned to fly out of Indy tomorrow to go to Kansas City with a connecting flight in Milwaukee. I decided I better get in line early to make some changes. I’m going later in the week.

Perhaps while people are snowed in by this latest storm they could watch An Inconvenient Truth to learn how warm it's going to be.

He will use his hot air to elevate himelf above the storm system and his magic messiah powers to fly forward and will be there in a jiffy.

How are you doing friend? We were to leave for Egypt friday.
Our orginial tour date was the 14th,which would have put us
in the Rames Hilton on Wed. We’re hoping our tour mates got
out of Egypt.

Wow...I'm glad you're home safe and sound and I hope your tour-mates are able to get out OK. Have you heard from any of them?

I've almost gone to Egypt a couple of times, but haven't made it there yet.

Will you re-schedule your trip if things settle down?

We're fine here - it's just rainy and very muddy, but all is quiet and that's always good.

Drink one of those Groundhog Day Storm beers for me!

If you live in the southeast during 'cane season: Plywood.

I've always wondered what the hell happened to the palletloads of plywood that got snapped up LAST hurricane threat went....the stuff must just fall off the face of the earth.

Geez....you folks on the Eastern Seaboard have my sympathy...you guys have been just hammered this winter and I almost feel guilty that the weather out here has been pretty stable lately. Cold and wet, but we have not had snow this year.

Hang tough...
