I moved half a pickup load up by the house this morning from the storage stack near the lake front.

Trying something different this winter.
Having access to several logging Co’s in our area I have purchased fresh logs delivered, cut them the size needed for my wood burner. A tan-tum load coast me two hundred fifty dollars, should be able to get five to six pick-up loads ?
At sixty seven I’m still able to do this manual labor, and besides, I consider this therapeutic to my health, LOL !
I usually go to my Bro’s farm and cut the trees myself, but
have found this to be a lot of dangerous work at my age.

Hopefully as long as my health allows, I will continue to defeat the power Co’s and the Federal Gov.?

When we built new in ‘02, we put in a ground source heat pump with the thermal floor option and really don't need to burn wood. But because we have oak and hickory falling out of the ground hereabouts, it's a shame to let it go to waste.
