Here is my pick:

I'd say Emily Blunt, but she's going to be a legendary actress someday and I don't know if doing a Superman movie is in the best interests of her career.

Out of those I’m going with Evangeline Lilly as well.

But what I don’t understand is why not Brandon Routh for Superman/Clark Kent again? I thought he was great and even managed to capture some of Reeve’s mannerisms and inflections.

I thought so too, but I think that was the problem.. He was too much like Christopher Reeve.. I think they wanted to go into a different direction.

Amy Acker seems to have a similar facial structure that Joanne Siegel* did when she was young. Very high, strong cheekbones.
(*wife of the original Superman creator and model for the first Lois Lane.)

Of those, Evangeline Lilly would be my pick. I think Zooey Deschanel would be good if they decided to go for an updated Margo Kidder type.

Evangeline FTW. If Superman is British, why can’t Lois be Canadian.
(Although I do love Emma Stone...)

I concur - of the ones listed, Evangeline Lilly would be the best choice

Lois Lane is a journalist, so they need to find an actress who can play a strident Leftist. Where in Hollywood are they going to find a ... oh, wait ... I guess it won’t be a problem.

She's not on the list, but I thing Gemma Arterton would be good. Her & Henry Cavill would be hot together! :)
