The short distance and long distance shots are not of the same thing. The hover time in the close up is much longer than the hover time of the long distance.

If you look at the person standing off to the right you'll see that he changes positions suddenly within about 3 seconds. Tells me that the clip was cut and the "middle seconds" aren't included in the distance shot.

Not saying it's authentic, but it could still possibly be a recording of the same event.

The long distance tape was cut in length to fit the news clip. You can see the tape transition if you pay closer attention.
