Remember, steel foundries have to function WITHOUT INTERUPTION! (Unless as part of a planned shutdown) The process involves metallic steel flowing continuously. If the flow is interrupted, the steel solidifies, and the entire factory becomes a useless piece of junk. Planned shutdowns and restarts take weeks, so they do not occur for one day athletic events. Management must make absolutely certain that a sufficient workforce is on the job.

BTW, I want Green Bay to win (and will be rooting for them), but I think the Steelers will win by 2 or 3 TDs.

It won't be close.

Yes, I've worked in oil and gas and in engineering and construction. I was a corporate type, but both were associated with plants that had to operate 24/7.

that's why I said that I agree with the company's policy.
