One of our county sheriff’s deputies shot a cat here about five years ago.
They came into the home on a domestic situation and the kitty didn’t take kindly to that.
The newspaper didn’t print the name of the deputy, but this is a small county population-wise, and it didn’t take long for us to find out who the trigger-happy deputy Fife was.

An unhappy cat can open up quite a can of whoopass should they decide to, but the cop started it by intruding on her (and I’ll wager it was a female, most likely a calico or tortie) territory and menacing her owners.

He quite possibly could’ve backed off a bit at the first sign of aggression and avoided it altogether, but no...had to prove what a Biggus Dickus he was.
