I saw a poster child for poor parenting a few years ago. The woman was 23 and attractive. She also had 5 children out of wedlock and was desperately trying to provide for them.

Not really. She's a celebrity, and she knows full well the rules that apply to the unwashed don't apply to her. Look for a sentence of probation and a stern talking-to.

She is probably at the point where serious jail time (I’m talking over 12 months) would do her good.

She is reaching the point of no return—screwing up her life so bad she might never recover.

A wake up call is required.

Well, bless her in her struggle but my cynical, tax payer’s reaction to that scenario is....chaaaaaaaching!

What she really needs is to be ignored.

Seriously, it would do her and all of us a lot of good.

Very appropriate court room attire. Shows her good judgment.

Reminds me of this:

Yes! You have a good memory!
Basic Instinct was not a very good movie though.

The last time I was on a jury the assistant DA trying the case was a woman about 23 or 24 and really good looking. She was wearing a skin tight dress with a very short skirt. Nothing like trying to influence the jury. Didn’t work, we found the guy not guilty.

With the judge saying “Everyone in this room has to follow the law, you’re no different than anyone else, so please don’t push your luck, because I’m telling you… things will be different,” wouldn’t she have a decent cause for appeal (should she lose) since she is supposedly innocent until proven guilty, yet here the judge makes it clear that he already considers her guilty and is treating her as such?

Yep, uneducated with no marketable skills, there was no way she could provide for them by herself. She was living with her sister and brother in law and their children in a very small house at the time.

After the first one, she should have looked into birth control methods that do not rely on doing something in the heat of the moment. After the third one that she had no skills to support, she should have considered having her tubes tied.

Los Angeles Airport Superior Court????

I thought this was for jewelry theft, not an attempted hijacking of an aircraft. What’s up with the Airport Superior Court?
