Tammy Bruce, columnist, radio host & conservative gay activist, announced on her website today that she will resign her position as advisory board member to GoProud.
I want to let you know that after being a supporter and serving as Chair of the Advisory Board since May of 2010, I gave Chris Barron and Jimmy LaSalvia my resignation Saturday night. If you search GOProud here at the blog you’ll see the affection with which I’ve held both Chris and Jimmy, and I wish them well.
I spoke with Tammy at the CPAC convention and when asked for comment on the reason for her departure she had no comment except to reiterate her position from the website that she,”looks forward to working with conservatives across the spectrum on issues that matter to all of us.”

I think Tammy is gay but not pro-gay marriage, which go-ashamed is.
Tammy is one of the best “talkers” out there. I like her because she is a true “convert” from liberal-land, was one of their organizers (as once pres of NOW). She is very pro-life.
She really knows how they think and exactly what they’re up to.
Also, she just might get a call to work on Sarah’s campaign.

Correct... homosexuality and conservative principles are mutually exclusive. Homosexuality is an abhorrent evil at complete war with God’s created order. One cannot be a Conservative and espouse any portion of the homosexual agenda.
I know it would be nice if the world was perfect but it isn't. There is a "gay" fight going on all around you and wishing it was gone is the surest way to let the forces of evil win. Frankly, these "gay" type people are rich, creative and influential in ways that far outsize their membership in the population. They are the foot soldiers of so many of the attacks made on conservatives and so you feel justified in seeing them as the enemy. Yet, it comes down to the fact that each and every one of these people is a person too. They think, they act and work for one thing or another. Right now, the American left has crawled into bed with the Radical Muslim camp and the equally radical Marxist camp and "gay" folks all of the sudden are discovering the "Freedom" they already have but may lose soon. In this, they see a bit of the light. You can choose to slap them away from the light, but as it is said, we do not put stumbling blocks in front of the blind. This is an equal evil.
Ultimately, the whole "gay" identity is a lie, but you cannot help people to freedom, faith and hope if you see them as less than human at the start.
Nevertheless, it is easy to get caught up in seeing "gay" rights as being "human" rights and this is a perversion. It is for this moment politically dynamite to reject the "gay" lifestyle and gay marriage and such, but ultimately, this is a core principle of our society so it cannot ultimately prevail if we are to maintain our society.
Still, we live in a world of the real and you can live with people who you don't agree with or even approve of by learning to respect folks and what is your business and what is theirs.
For this moment, some "gay" folks are waking up to the fact that Western Civilization is under assault and all of the sudden, this is more important to them. It is important that we see their help in this regard as positive. We unfortunately must be a bit of a bore and refuse any quid-pro-quo on the issues of acceptance of the gay lifestyle as a "price" for this support. Those that get it will find it is important enough to just put their shoulder to our common challenge and attempt to settle for a position where people have privacy, and the right to designate who are the significant people in their lives.
The folks who hate Sarah Palin will attempt to use this to divide the conservatives. You will have to decide if you are Saul Alynski's "she dog" and if you can be played this way.
There is no indication in anything she said that she is "bailing out" on them. She is moving on to other pressing things; she mentions working for the Tea Party, and speculation is that she wants to help get Sarah Palin elected, but she didn't say that in her announcement.
There is nothing in the record to suggest Tammy doesn't still support GoProud -- she mentioned her support prominently in the article quote in this thread.
Definitely is gay, has directly stated she is not for gay marraige; the gay activists claim that GoProud has changed their stance on gay marriage and no longer support it, because of the influence of gay-friendly conservatives like Ann Coulter.

That is not correct. It is not at all unusual for homosexuals to have children.
Sarah Palin explicitly did NOT say she was boycotting CPAC, even when asked about the issue. Further, she said nothing to suggest her lack of attendance was because of GOProud, even though she was asked and given a chance to do so.
While it is possible that she will some day say she skipped CPAC because the organization then-chaired by her good friend Tammy Bruce was there, there is nothing currently in the record to suggest that is the case.
Sarah Palin is quite capable of telling people what she is doing and why. When she skipped CPAC because the leadership was too involved in lobbying, she said so directly. If she was skipping this year because of GOProud, she was perfectly capable of saying so herself.
But once again, her supporters want to put words in her mouth, put motives behind her actions, and in doing so paint a picture of Sarah Palin that could well be the opposite of the truth, in their attempts to shape her into the candidate THEY want.
I say, let Palin be Palin. She can speak for herself, she has the ear of the media, and multiple outlets she can use to talk directly to the people. We don't have to guess what she believes, she'll tell us when she wants to.
Not naturally, unless they are adulterers or fornicators as well as homosexuals.

Romney did not bring Gay Marriage to Massachusetts. The Supreme Court of Mass. did that; then the liberal democratic legislature refused to ban it, and refused to allow a referendum pushed by Romney to go to the voters.
Andrew Brietbart is the one most affiliated with GOProud, having thrown them a party and argued strongly for their presense at CPAC and in the conservative movement.
Romney does not want polygamy.
Gay Marriage is not "worse" than Polygamy. They are both destructive to the institution; Polygamy may actually be worse, because it does promote childbearing, meaning the kids get mixed up in the polygamist lifestyle to a greater degree than in a gay marriage. But they are both bad, and should be equally fought.
The main thing that has to be “conserved” by “conservatives” is
THE FAMILY.
The destruction of the family is the aim of ALL leftist policies.

Come to find out, the guy was living a total double life. By a tip, the cops found bones on his property. Those bones were found to be those of gays he had picked up, brought home for sex and murdered by auto erotic asphyxiation.
Later they suspected he was picking guys up on a well known travel corridor between Indy and Ohio and doing the same.
When the cops were onto him, he fled to Canada and was tracked to a motel where he had shot himself to death.
This was a case that was hard for people to fathom because they just couldn't believe that a person could be gay, married and have kids.
