3G and 4G were generic terms, a descriptive verb that stood for 3th generation and 4th generation technology WiMAX & LTE were/are 4th generation technology
Now because "4G" has become an "brand/standard name" ITU is just now defining what "4G" will mean?
In other words ITU is just now making the descriptive verb 4G the a brand/standard name Noun "4G"?...kind of late in the game getting around to that aren't to get anal and pissy about it?.... Sorry but WiMAX and LTE were 4G before "4G" was a name
