Not quite. Thirty or 40 years ago males were still the majority in college and in the worksforce. Now women are a majority in both, and trending even further in that direction all the time.

What the article said, glancingly, in reference to Freud: if men don't have to commit to a wife and kinds, they don't have to commit to the future. Ther's no reason not to just drift along. And that's what more and more of them are doing. Peter Pans, Failed males.

But aren’t there some men who have careers and work hard anyway, even if it is only for themselves? Smart guys will realize they will need money in old age.
