‘Miami Vice’ was great for the ‘80s. I loved that show. The show made great use of the popular music of the day. One of the best episodes was the one with Ted Nugent as a really, really bad killer. The song used at the end of that episode was ‘Cry’ by Godley and Creme (10cc). Perfect.

Another good episode and song use was ‘Long Long Way to Go’ by Phil Collins.

“Definitely Miami” was the Nugent episode.

“Sons and Lovers” was the ep that used “Long, Long Way to Go”. Collins and Sting did a great version of that song at Live Aid in London.

I remember the Miami Vice episode with Bruce McGill as a former cop haunted by a missing drug dealer. At the end of the episode, as Crockett and Tubbs discover that McGill's character helped kill the missing drug dealer 5 years earlier and hide him behind the wall of an apartment, Dire Strait's Brothers In Arms is eerily playing in the background.
