'I'm still in love with Bill': Friends say why Monica Lewinsky has never got married or had kids
dailymail ^

The scandal almost destroyed his career and left his presidency permanently tainted. But 15 years on, Bill Clinton’s former intern Monica Lewinsky has not got married or had children because she is reportedly still in love with him and 'always will be'. Miss Lewinsky, 37, has run a successful business, hosted a reality television show and moved overseas - but has never found love, according to friends.

Monica still hasn’t got over Bill and would take him back in a second,’ a friend said. ‘She told me: “There will never be another man in my life that could make me as happy as he did",' the friend told the National Enquirer magazine.

More... 'I had an affair because I love America', claims presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich ‘Monica still carries a torch for him. She’s dated some guys, off and on, since the whole White House mess. But she’s never been able to get Bill out of her heart’. Miss Lewinsky was aged 22 in 1995 when she began working in the White House and had an affair with President Clinton, which he famously denied at first. She now lives in Los Angeles, California, and does not have regular employment, reported the National Enquirer.

She has previously designed handbags and been a pitch woman for Jenny Craig. She also participated in a book, written with Andrew Morton, called Monica's Story, for which she earned a reported $500,000. In 2006 she earned a master's degree in social psychology from the London School of Economics, having shut her handbag line and temporarily moved to England. Mr Clinton was impeached by Republicans in 1998, who tried to throw him out of office. But his wife Hilary said in 2007 that their marriage was 'worth the investment'.

I am talking about people here who revel in in. Who believe her use as a woman is tied to that part of her life. Yes, God forgives and Godly people show mercy and forgiveness.

God forgives, but...

God forgiving is not the same as a complete absence of specifically *human* consequences.

Recall when King David had Uriah the Hittite abandoned in the front lines, so he would die, and so David could marry his widow and cover up the affair they had had?

The prophet later explained to David that one of the consequences of David turning from God was that someone else would sleep with David wives -- and that what David had done was in secret, but his cuckolding would be in the sight of all Israel.

This was fulfilled by Abaslom, at the counsel of Ahithophel, in order to make himself odious to David, reduce the chances for a reconciliation, and strengthen the will of his fellow rebels.

Monica was young, and taken advantage of. It is not that which makes her unlikely to get married; it is the storm of publicity and the fact it involved often-joked-about perversions and practices, as well as the (likely) transmission of sexual diseases.

I feel sorry for her, except that she is not entirely a victim: seriously, would YOU (as a mere intern getting pizza) flash your thong at the PRESIDENT??!!

Flirting, yes; puppy crush, yes; but not flash a thong: which technically, you shouldn't be doing anyway, still less in the Oval Office, on grounds of decorum and "who the hell do you think you are?"

Cheers!

“God forgives and Godly people show mercy and forgiveness”

Has Lewinsky ever said that she was sorry for her actions? Let’s review just what her actions have done: for one thing, the term blow !*& became common even among little children. She chose to chase after a married man who happened to be the POTUS. She even bent over a table to show him her thong. She performed sexual acts in the Oval office. She kept a blue dress with semen on it as a memento like someone would a “love letter”. After it hit the fan, she appeared on talk shows for MONEY, got a gig with a diet firm FOR MONEY, appeared as a model for cigars and such FOR MONEY. In life, there are consequences for actions and the conversation on FR revolves around the fact that she is “damaged goods” and no good man would want her. You may be the type of person to be thrilled if a son brought her home to meet you. I am the type of person whose HEAD WOULD EXPLODE if a son brought her home to meet me. IMHO

I lived in Arkansas and met him many times also. Also met him in Tennessee where I live now when he first ran for prez.

I always knew he was a huckster phoney. Reminded me of a carney. He’s so full of it that idiots buy into his schtick like Obama.

She’s as delusional as Marilyn Monroe was. Marilyn honestly thought that JFK would leave Jackie for her and that Marilyn would become First Lady; without realizing that politicians marry suitable wives and NEVER divorce them, with the risk to their political career too great to contemplate. When Jackie threatened to leave JFK if he iddn’t drop Marilyn, JFK dropped her right away and didn’t look back. Presidents NEVER leave their wives.

Reading this reminds me of how disgusting Bill Clinton was in terms of personal conduct. At least President Obama seems to be a person of high personal morality, even if his politics stink.

And who wants their name used to describe a sex act? Her parents must be mortified

This story bothered my father terribly. He just couldn't get over how he'd feel if this were his daughter. Not only the very public sex stuff, but how she was right on the chopping block to be dismissed as a stalker/whore.

I don't think any 20 year old woman could have guessed how the whole episode might play out and certainly Monica seemed dimmer than most. The whole thing is just sad and pathetic.

I will always feel sorry for her.

On the maturity scale and given the fact that she was a White House intern what Clinton did is comparable to stomping on a baby chick in a hatchery.

I expect much more from a President in the way of judgment, ethics, and self-control than I do a 21 year old star-struck intern.

Monica deserves our pity and I hope she finds peace and understanding.

I do pity her. Clinton gets off scott free and he is actually given credit for his adultery. Lewinski isn’t so lucky. She was raised by super liberal parents and she had no foundation in any sort of true faith (by my definition, a true faith is that there are rights and wrong/good vs. bad). However, she has embraced her past with vigor. She used her “notoriety” for money instead of escaping it. Personally, I would think she would get away from her past and focus on a future.

Ah, but *under* the table!

Sorry.

Thank you. I’m so glad there are others who think like I do. If I thought everyone on FR thought like the people who posted here, I’d leave and never look back.
