I’m not familiar with the artist, but that is a wonderful cover of the song.
I forgot to tell you about the snow. We got 4-5” last night, and it was heavy and near turning to slush, so Hubby had a terrible time plowing it.
It’s still snowing, but barely. I hope you folks are all right over there, and that you didn’t get too much rain that I see has moved off to the north.
Oh my goodness! I didn’t remember her name. Thanks for the education. Again. I see she also did a few [cough] others that I really liked too.
I absolutely love that song, and it brings back memories of all that teenage angst and heartbreak, and looking back on it, over not much at all. The heartbreaker was Lothar Mesmer, and I was mesmerized. Whew! What a hottie. That was 50 years ago, and I was 14. LOL!
[screech, scream, shriek] LOL! My mother really, really liked him, but I thought he was an old man at the time. Appreciation for his talent came later, after I found out what all the fuss was about, if you get my drift.
Oh, yeah. I love that one and even remember the lyrics. My cats were wondering what I was yelling about, ha ha ha ha ha!
“Thanks for the joy that you’ve given me.
“I want you to know I believe in your song.”
Well done as always Pookie!
Thanks again!
That was from my older sibs’ time in the 50’s, but I like it too. And there was more of my “caterwauling.”
Rock and roll and doo-wop all came out of that time, building on the 40’s and taking it to the next level.
