I told my dad who hasn't seen footage yet that this is the worst disaster I have seen in my entire life. The footage is just incredible and is impossible to explain if it isn't seen.
Sadly, the world is on fire and we have Nero in the White House...

I found the third video, with boats drifting past the second floor of houses, particularly impressive.

Chilling....
The ships look like toy boats in a bathtub.
And why are people driving over bridges while enormous ships are being dragged beneath them with torrents of water??!!

I’ll wager that at the end of the day both the Tsunami in Thailand/Indo and the quake in Haiti will have each claimed significantly more lives,

Yea, the power of Mother Earth is nothing to be trifled with.
Mother Earth is gonna she what she wants, and there’s not much we can do about it except hold on. Well, except for globull warming.

That footage is horrific - I pray the people got out before that nightmare wave hit their houses.

As far as lives are yes, the 2004 Tsunami and Haiti will have claimed more lives. I don't even want to think of that.
I should have been more specific, this is the worst disaster to hit a First World Nation (besides 9/11).
I don't recall the exact monetary total that 9/11 cost (huge if you add the stock market collapse following the attacks).
But if you speak of infrastructure this is the worst I've ever seen. The videos coming out are absolutely surreal.
