I’ve always said unions are nothing more than extortionists. If I were these companies, I’d tell the police union and all the others to go eff themselves.

I understand the political decision to exempt the police and fire professions from the termination of collective bargaining for benefits, but it’s a hard distinction to justify economically, legally or otherwise. You see from this letter how little the favor bought Walker. You could also see in the way the Police let the demonstrators have their way at the Capitol that Walker wasn’t getting much there either.
Nonetheless, Walker’s a winner, as is the state.
These boycotts won’t work. Since this is a local issue why not all petition at your city halls etc to reduce the police & fire by 20%. Turn it back on them. See how they react to these cuts.
So much for the Police, Firemen, and the teachers being professionals. I would expect people of intelligence to be civil and law abiding not practicing extortion.

Send him one from the Tea Party telling him that if he goes along with the Unions, he will be boycotted by the Tea Party, and if he stands up against the Unions, the Tea Party will do everything to try and start a “buycott”.
These tactics are straight out of Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, and I have no doubt that they are being instigated by the community agitator in chief.

Thing is, these tactics are politically neutral - they work regardless of whose side you’re on. So we need to use them against their interests - boycott companies that support them and help companies that are on are side or are threatened by the thugs. Two can play this game, and the game is won by the side that’s most motivated.
Right now they are. We think because we won the election there and the pubbies are holding strong that we have the upper hand. But I wouldn’t dismiss the other side’s power - those tactics can wear out an opponent. So Walker and Co. need all the support we can give them, including mobilizing in the streets.

A little more information regarding M&I Bank. $600,000.00 has been withdrawn from M&I Bank $192,000.00 just by the firefighter Union (who was exempt from collective bargaining restrictions). The M&I Capitol Square Branch in Madison Wisconsin was shut to the public.
