"My toe is no longer in the water, it's all the way up to my neck," Cain said. "I think I have a great chance of not only winning the nomination but the Presidency."
That was the message in a conference call with the potential GOP presidential candidate Monday night, telling bloggers things are going really well as he continues his work with his presidential exploratory committee.
Just weeks ago, Cain won the straw poll at the tea party American Policy Summit in Phoenix, easily beating big names like Ron Paul, Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney. However, Cain has been popular with the tea party since it's beginning and gave his first speech to the grassroots movement on April 15, 2009.
Cain said in the call that the grassroots support for his exploratory committee has been unbelievable and continues to grow with thousands of volunteers wanting to help promote his small government, fiscally conservative message to voters.

LOL! Not impressed.
Herman Cain was a member of the Federal Reserve... FLASHING RED LIGHT FLASHING RED LIGHT FLASHING RED LIGHT FLASHING RED LIGHT
So what?
Ping to my HC buddy
Oh, Cain said that. From the tease I thought it was a Dick Morris article.
LOL!
No conservative is hated more than a black conservative.
Drug up a total nobody did you!
That’s OK. THomas is sitting on the SCOTUS.
Cain is only a nobody to liberals and Palin cultists. To conservatives, he’s a solid and desirable candidate.
Big difference between convincing 51 senators vs 60 million voters.
IMHO, the only way that Herman Cain, probably, has a chance for actual victory in the ‘12 POTUS race is if ALL of the other major candidates for ‘12 GOP POTUS decide to bow out of the running, but I do hope that I’m wrong about this. I see it as Sarah Palin’s race to lose, because, like it or not, she’s the frontrunner out of everybody running for ‘12 GOP President, just as long as she does decide to, officially, enter the race. If Sarah, officially, decides to not run for ‘12 GOP POTUS, then things will get even more interesting on the GOP side. It all will depend upon what Sarah decides to do. If she does decide to run, then I’m hoping for an eventual Presidential ticket of, either, Sarah Palin/Herman Cain, or Sarah Palin/Allen West. At present, I’m not too sure what Presidential ticket to support, if Sarah doesn’t run. The official ‘12 GOP POTUS candidate list has to be known by everybody, first, before anybody can make any kind of accurate predictions.
I’ll take 51-49 Cain over the boy marxist.
Forget the Obama money, gimme some Godfather Pizza money! You got my vote.
Cain is unelectable. Good guy, qualified, but unelectable.
lol
black is about his only qualification piss
without that he would be nothing
crazy
hell maybe i should run...i get really tan if i try
I’d say being a highly successful businessman, CEO and staunch conservative is a helluva lot better than anything we’ve had in that office since 1988.
Me neither. There are two reasons: 1) From what I've read, he is way too outspoken about his religious beliefs. The electorate seem to want a person's private religious beliefs to remain private. 2) I can't imagine that enough votes could ever be gotten for someone with the namee of "Herman" in this day and age.
