Full Worm Moon March
As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the robins. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter; or the Full Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation. To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last full Moon of winter.

FWIW here's another pic from the Ice Hotel with the supermoon unobstructed although still distorted.
And one from the WTAE TV Mt Washington webcam overlooking Pittsburgh.
I am on the opposite side of Mt Washington and the moon is just above it from my location now. It IS bigger and bright. Wish I hadn't have to leave in a hurry. Would like to have had my Canon AE-1's (Hey, I'm old) and my Kodak digital along...sigh.
Not that I'd have much time to set up. There is barely enough time to post. WHOOPS gotta run !

I was on the road last night driving east for about an hour and a half as the moon came up. It was quite a thing to watch as it appeared over the horizon.
I personally like the Harvest Moon better than this Super Moon. jmo

WOO HOO!! A big... well a big ball of.. rock? (what, are you telling me we are obsessed with a 1/1000th variance in an orbit? Well, OK, if it makes people laugh). Woo Hoo, a big rock reflecting sunlight.
