We are at that point; actually FAR beyond that point where we need to be drilling wherever we can in this vast land of ours. We need to wean-off and eventually remove ourselves from dependence on mid-east oil.

Maybe we’re better off now because we didn’t exploit all of our reserves forty years ago. Compared to several years from now, oil might be relatively cheap right now.

The Dems want wind and solar power. They want clean green energy, as long as it isn’t nuclear.
The liberal view is that we can quickly move to solar and wind power for all of our energy needs. They think power comes from plugging something into an outlet. They don’t understand that the power flowing from the outlet has to be generated somewhere, with some sort of fuel.

You have stated in very few words the exact and only reason the Dems are against drilling. They seek a weakened United States.
I know dems want a weakened US, but what is their goal if the US is weak terrorism will rule the land, high energy prices ruining the economy and it will be a worse version of the Pres. Carter years only with a 3rd world style govt flavor for the US. Not sure what Dems think this will do to benefit their lives or do they hate themselves so much they want to suffer, but want the whole country to have to suffer with them? Truly sick individuals.

Also God forbid if the day comes when Islam is imposed on US citizens or face death if even then when a Dem is held at knifepoint to recite “Allahu Akbar!” if in that moment they will realize they f’ed up or will they be sympathetic to the plight of the terrorists?
The DC plan is to hold all our minerals/oil/coal in reserve so when we can no longer get regimes around the world to finance our debt we can start selling America and her natural resources.

Back in the 70’s, the EPA started listening to all these enviro-weenies start crying and simpering that we were destroying the Earth with our ‘pollution’. In the 80’s, they focused on the “wasting of our natural resources”.
The Dim base is chock full of enviro-weenies who cry at the drop of a hat if the “big, evil corporations” try to do anything to boost energy production.
If I were President, I would restart ALL avenues to make us energy-independant. I would also issue an executive order that states that ANY protester or group of protesters who approach a site where they are doing work to build our energy resources are to be issued ONE warning to turn back. If not, they open fire with automatic weapons and KILL anyone still there. No questions, no prosecution.

There is one other reason. They intend to use our resources to buy off China after our fall, once we belong to a Marxist paradise.
All of the “green” industry stuff (where all the Dems plan on working — bet you $100 that Zero will be a CEO of some b.s. ‘green company’ post presidency) only makes sense IF oil is 300-400 per barrel.
Our current Energy Secretary said as much prior to being appointed.

They are stuck on stupid with the man made global warming hoax. I saw them on Meet the Press today talking about the global warming problem with fossil fuels. No one gave a blink as the fossil fuel connection with global warming was made. The group discussing America’s energy situation was Mike Mullen, Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI), and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL).
Someone has to be paying these people to espouse this crap. Bet they have secret bank accounts somewhere with automatic deposits being made while they use liberal ideology as a cover up.
If that is there MO then they are more than just misguided, they are delusional and more likely suffering from severe mental problems, but we already knew that.
