Earlier, the miracle oil was olive oil.

Seems that the safflower producers want in on the olive oil and other oils action....

Isn’t Canola oil made from “rapeseed”? I also read somewhere that we get a large amount from China, which forbids its citizenry from eating or cooking with it, as it is considered poison.

I think some mayonnaise is made with safflower oil. That’s good.

According to wiki:
Canola oil is low in saturated fat, is high in monounsaturated fat, and has a beneficial omega-3 fatty acid profile; it has well established heart health benefits and is recognized by many health professional organizations including the American Dietetic Association, and American Heart Association, among others. Canola oil has been authorized a qualified health claim from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration based on the theory that the absence of saturated fats in the oil content makes it a healthy food, consumption of which cannot cause coronary heart disease.

The US might import canola from China, but Canada and the US produce an awful lot of it much closer to home.

Interesting the .6 drop in A1C over a 4 month period. Higher gains are to be had from those that adopt a lower carb lifestyle. But for those that are already going low carb, this could be just enough to push down that last little bit to get off medication.

I'm with you, but would also add soy oil to the list.

Our family (three diabetics) has gone low carb with great benefits. Fish oil also seems to help a lot.
