FORT WORTH After more than four years on the run, a 28-year-old man has been arrested on a murder warrant in connection with the 2006 fatal shooting of a Fort Worth man.
Salvador Eder Garcia was arrested last week on the warrant after Fort Worth police were notified that he had been detained in the Zapata County Jail for entering the country illegally, according to Fort Worth homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson.

Don’t the locals retain them until they are picked up by the feds? That is when the release occurs I think.

If he meets the criteria of capital murder(multiple murders, murder committed during the commission of another felon crime or murder of a peace officer), then Texans are happy to oblige. Captial murder in Texas is equal to an automatic death sentence on most days. Even in Texas, though, the death sentence isn’t often enough or rapidly enough. We try, though...we try.
Real smart guy here. He successfully escapes a country where hi is wanted for murder, then comes back on his own.
You see, you don’t have to look all over the place and get worked up. They will come to you one day and there he will be, right in jail.
That right there shows you just how much Mexico sucks.
Lesson - if you’re going to flee the country due to a murder charge - stay out!!
