“These guys deliberately targeted innocent civilians for laughs. They aren’t collateral damage, they are victims of deliberate murder...”

Do we know that?

What we do know the photos were a bad idea to take; but that is all we know at this point.

How do know the dead people in the pictures were not attacking our people when killed?

When you train the boys to kill, they sometimes do crazy things as in all wars. You just look the other way and thank them for their duty. They have their own demons to fight with as they grow older.

Thank you. I have photos of my great uncle posing (and smiling!) next to a pile of dead Japs. Movietone newsreels routinely showed proud American soldiers next to mounds of exterminated enemies. Modern politicians and senior military brass are despicable.

I see those pictures of Dresden and I think, “Justice for Warsaw, Rotterdam, Treblinka, Auschwitz, Lidice, etc.”

This thread is repugnant.

I killed two NVA with my .45 in a bunker, was bringing them out of the hole..the 2nd Platoon leader was taking pictures as I was doing this. He was on a 113.

My face and arms were bloody. Did not pose and never saw the photos.

Scheech! Pfc. Manning, Abu Ghraib, now this...why is it always the U.S. Army? Maybe Congress should put it under the Dept. of the Air Force or Navy to learn how to behave like proper soldeiers.

Tell it to SSG Salvatore A. Giunta. (I'm sure it will mean a lot, coming from someone who cannot even SPELL "soldier")

Moron.

Thank you! Well said. I get so tired of hearing people say this Mindlessly. But some actually want to say it - to discourage supporters of our troops.

GUAM, Saturday, April 14—A great fleet of Superfortresses, heavy with clustered incendiary bombs, rode over Tokyo in the early hours today to strike at the capital’s war industries. The first pilots-returning to this base reported that the target area was a scene of explosions and leaping flame,
