When I went to upload screen capture on photobucket, Avast freaked out about something on Photobucket. I suspect Avast botched something?

Last week I was going crazy because I could NOT get to Free Republic. I could get to Google, Drudge, etc and other places.
My AVAST would not update, it couldn't “connect to server”.
I uninstalled AVAST, had to clear out every record of it and I installed AVG. AVG immediately found two corrupted registry files.
I was afraid to remove them until I had done searches at Google. I put them in the Vault and have had no trouble since!!
WHY Free Republic was the main site I couldn't get to is a mystery.

I received this exact same Avast warning when I signed into AOL earlier today. Anyone else have the same issue?

I have Avast too and didn’t detect it. And I am always updated.

I got the exact message when I went to the Daily Mail from a FR link.
I think Avast may have set their sensitivity a bit higher than needed, or a parameter got fudged somehow.
