Thanks, but I tried all that.

I even put a wireless card in my desktop, and surprisingly it did go a little faster.

But I think the real problem is that the DSL ‘node’ in my area is getting overloaded.

Especially since a couple of new housing projects has gone up.

It seems to run ok first thing in the morning, right up until about 10 am. After that you sit and wait for a response from the server.

Not sure what I can do about it except move closer to the node. But since I own my home, that’s not going to happen.

I’ll just have to live with it, or get Cable..

Sounds to me like that's something easily traceable. Have you discussed this with your ISP?
