I downloaded it and watched it and still couldn’t understand it. I thought the studios were supposed to make the movies understandable and relaxing, not pushing us to ‘think’ all the stupid time.

Because the dancing was the least of the story.
Portmen was the one who told the story just the way Beal did in Flashdance.
And if a movie can't have guns, spaceships and explosions then it should have a story.
