I know a guy whose Lab was missing for 4 years. Turned up thanks to a microchip. All my dogs are chipped.

I have a sweet little Jack Russell 6yrs old, who stays in the house most of the time.....he does run up to my daughters house to see his brother (we live on a farm).
Do you think I should have a chip put in him?

My dog did not have a chip. I think implanting the chip should be based on the temperament and behavior of the dog and the beliefs of the owner.

If your dog is prone to wandering or escaping his territory, I would consider it.

If you have any religious/philosophical scruples about implanting a chip, then I would not.

Teddy is very good....never leaves the property and comes running whenever I call him.
Also he he somewhat timid and traffic scares him. So I don't think I will get the chip.

I bet they wish that the dog could tell his story.

It’s great that he made it home again.

Chipping is better than seeing them hanging out at the overpass with a “Will work for food” sign.

I can’t imagine my dogs being lost, hungry, and roaming around the streets.
