Conservatives tend to underestimate the continuing influence and popularity of the MSM. If I read the numbers right, more people see network news in one night than see Beck in a week.
Exactly right.

The Today show is on in the MORNING the last time I saw it (about 3 years ago). News comprises less than 10% of that show. Matt Lauer is not a journalist, he is a left wing ideologue just like his fellow queen bee katydid was (is).
Everybody doesn’t have satellite or cable tv so for them there is no other option. Others watch out of a force of habit that they won’t change. Those factors don’t necessarily indicate the influence or popularity of the MSM. For the 20+ adult years before I had cable/satellite, I had no other choice and there were numerous occasions when I wanted to throw something at the TV to hit Brokenjaw, Blather, CROCKite, or Jennings because of their continuous left wing slanted presentation of the news. I suspect there are those in that boat today.
That is probably true. I don't watch TV except for sports. Now that College hoops are over, I won't watch TV until the NBA finals, and then nothing until college football starts again.
Since none of my circle of friends watch any MSM, I wrongly assume nobody watches.
Hey, Matt...
